Welcome to Lumah ("the App"). By using Lumah, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. About Lumah

Lumah is a mobile application designed to provide exercises and tools to improve mental well-being. The App offers an AI-powered journal, guided activities, reflections, soundscapes, and tracking to help users support their mental health.

When you write or speak an entry, Lumah uses artificial intelligence to understand how you are feeling, summarize your entry, and suggest a sound or exercise suited to your state.

Lumah is not a medical service or therapy, and it should not replace professional mental health care.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum legal age in your country, if higher) to use Lumah. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Lumah is not designed for children, and we do not knowingly allow users under this age to create an account.

3. Account and Security

To access certain features, you may create an account or sign in using Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or other supported methods. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and notifying us of any unauthorized use.

We apply industry-standard measures to protect your account and your content, including encryption in transit and access controls that make your saved reflections accessible only to your own account. No system can guarantee absolute security, and you use the App with that understanding.

You may delete your account at any time from within the App. Deleting your account removes your saved reflections and associated data from our systems, as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features in Lumah require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are processed through RevenueCat using the App Store or Google Play.

• Free trials (if offered) automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends.
• Deleting your account or uninstalling the App does not cancel your subscription. Cancellation must be done through your App Store or Google Play account.
• All purchases are final except where required by law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful or harmful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with the App's functionality.
• Post or share content that is illegal, offensive, or inappropriate.
• Misuse the AI features, including attempting to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content.

We may suspend or terminate access if misuse is detected.

6. AI-Powered Features

Lumah's journal, reflections, and recommendations are powered by artificial intelligence.

How it works

When you complete an entry, the content you wrote or spoke is sent to third-party AI providers, which process it to summarize how you are feeling and to suggest a matching soundscape or exercise. You are asked to consent to this processing before using the AI features for the first time.

What is stored

Your conversation with Lumah is not stored on our servers. Once your entry is complete, only the summary is saved — and only if you choose to keep it. You can delete any saved reflection at any time from within the App.

Security

Your entries are transmitted over encrypted connections and processed by providers that are contractually bound to handle your content solely for the purpose of delivering this feature. Your content is not used to train AI models. Further details are set out in our Privacy Policy.

Limitations

AI-generated content is produced automatically and is not reviewed by a human. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. It does not constitute medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice and should not be relied upon as such.

Not for emergencies

Lumah is not a crisis service and cannot detect or respond to emergencies. If you are in distress, having thoughts of harming yourself, or facing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services or a qualified professional immediately.

Your responsibility

You decide what to share with the App. We recommend not entering information you would not want processed by a third-party service, including details that could identify other people.

7. Wellness Disclaimer

Lumah provides exercises and guidance to support mental well-being. It is not medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. The App is intended for general wellness purposes only. For medical or mental health concerns, please consult a qualified professional.

8. Intellectual Property

All content provided by the App, including text, graphics, software, soundscapes, and exercises, is owned by Lumah or its licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or modify any part of the App without permission.

The entries you write or record remain yours. You grant Lumah a limited licence to process them solely in order to operate the App's features, as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is." To the maximum extent allowed by law, Lumah and its affiliates are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App, including any reliance on AI-generated content.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App signifies acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Lumah operates, without regard to conflicts of law principles.
